| Description: | Mirror of Deception was founded in summer 1990 near Stuttgart and are meanwhile considered one of the best known Doom Metal bands from Germany and Central Europe. Initially influenced by the founding fathers of the genre such as Black Sabbath, Candlemass, Count Raven, Trouble, the band has crafted their own unmistakable sound and style. Mirror of Deception are the epitomy of pure Doom Metal in the most individualistic sense, wearing their influences on their sleeves proudly yet always trying to find their own niche to occupy."Shards" was recorded, mixed and mastered at Soundmann Studio, Stuttgart (Germany) in February, March & April 2006.
