 | | Description: | I Say I Say I Say is Erasure's sixth studio album, produced by Martyn Ware, founder member of The Human League and Heaven 17. It served as the group's fourth consecutive No. 1 album in the UK, achieving Gold status and generating three top 20 singles, including the epic love song "Always." By 1994 Erasure showed no sign of slowing down, much to the delight of their fans and the record-buying public at large. No mean feat in a musical landscape that had changed significantly in order to embrace grunge and all it's attendant, casual glory. Erasure proved with this record that they still did pop better than anyone.Info from booklet:

"I Say I Say I Say" is a CD album by the British synth-pop duo Erasure, released on the label BMG/Mute. On this record, Erasure deliver a polished collection of melodic, electronic pop songs driven by catchy hooks, warm analog synthesizers and the unmistakable, emotional voice of Andy Bell, complemented by Vince Clarke's refined songwriting and production. The album combines euphoric, danceable tracks with more introspective, mid-tempo songs, creating a cohesive listening experience that is both club-friendly and ideal for repeated plays at home. Characteristic for Erasure, the songs blend bittersweet lyrics about love, longing and self-reflection with bright, uplifting melodies that invite you to sing along.
The production on "I Say I Say I Say" showcases the duo's mastery of synth-pop arrangements: layered keyboards, precise drum programming and subtle electronic textures give the album a rich, yet always accessible sound. Carefully crafted choruses, memorable refrains and harmonies make almost every track feel like a potential single. Despite its electronic foundation, the album has a very human, emotional core, making it appealing not only to long-time Erasure fans but to anyone who appreciates sophisticated pop music with depth.
Erasure, consisting of vocalist Andy Bell and songwriter/keyboardist Vince Clarke, are among the most influential and successful synth-pop acts of the 1980s and 1990s. Vince Clarke was a founding member of Depeche Mode and later part of Yazoo before forming Erasure, and with Bell he created a long string of hit singles and albums that helped define the sound of electronic pop. Over the years, Erasure have achieved numerous chart successes and a loyal international fanbase, becoming a reference point for many later electro- and synth-pop artists. The band is celebrated for its powerful live shows, catchy hits and the consistent quality of its studio albums.
The CD is released by BMG/Mute, a collaboration of labels known for their strong catalog in alternative and electronic music. Mute in particular has a long history of working with innovative artists in the fields of electronic, experimental and independent pop, while BMG stands for global reach and professional distribution. Together, they provide a high production and manufacturing standard, reliable sound quality and carefully curated releases. "I Say I Say I Say" thus appears under a label constellation that has significantly shaped the development and dissemination of electronic and alternative pop music and continues to stand for artistically ambitious yet accessible productions. | | | No. of tracks: |
