Description:Bang a gong and get it on. At once sardonic, flamboyant, and trashy, T. Rexâ??s uncommonly unique Electric Warrior catapulted leader Marc Bolan to stardom, triggered an ongoing fascination with glam rock, and launched a movement that soon involved David Bowie, Roxy Music, and more. Yet none of those namesake artists ever released a record that out-glammed, out-thrusted, or outcamped Electric Warriorâ??named the 160th Greatest Album of All Time by Rolling Stone. Bursting with excessive fun and unchecked libido, T. Rexâ??s catchy boogies, shuffles, and vamps scoot by on a seemingly impossible blend of concise hooks, non-sequitur fantasies, and theatrical swagger. The 1971 landmark remains a rewardingly strange, parallel universe of sound, style, and sex that still has no equal. Mastered on Mobile Fidelityâ??s state-of-the-art mastering system, the labelâ??s 180g 45RPM 2LP set and hybrid SACD give Electric Warrior the widescreen sonics it has always deserved. Tony Viscontiâ??s warm, reverb-soaked production and Roy Thomas Bakerâ??s ace engineering remain two of the workâ??s most revered aspects. On these collectible reissues, the production and music can be experienced in all its full-tilt glory, from the subtle albeit elegant classical touches to the instantly identifiable Les Paul guitar licks to Bolanâ??s sensual, wispy, are-they-or-arenâ??t-they-serious vocals. All such elements and more come to life with a realism, vibrancy, and textural palpability that surpass the presentation of any prior edition. If you can hear colors, these audiophile versions will stimulate your inner synesthesia. -

The second studio album by English rock band T. Rex. The album reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and became the best selling album of 1971. I recommend.

Milena Carolina S. - 21/Oct/2021 5 of 5 Stars!
This is probably T-Rex's best album, released during the height of the glam movement in England. "Get it On" was the biggest hit but most of the songs are very strong and rightfully catapulted Marc Bolan to superstardom. Bonus tracks include the non-album singles. Of these, "Hot Love" with it's happy singalong is essential. If you are new to Marc Bolan and find yourself looking for a T-Rex CD, this is the place to start.

Valeriy R. - 23/Nov/2017 5 of 5 Stars!
One of the best releases in the history of glam. A real masterpiece created by inimitable Marc Bolan. A top-class edition by both sound and decoration. Highly recommended!
