Probably not all of the young people know that Dark Angels album Dark Descent are one of the founders of Thrash metal style along with Slayer, Metallica, Exodus etc. Great album who was ahead of his time.

For me this is one of the overlooked thrash albums of 1986. I heard some compisitions of DA on different compilations (Speed Kills... LP's), but never got to listen to the whole album of them before. What a loss! This band was a hurricane! Speed, a massive wall of a guitar sound, cannon like drums (double bass triplets in "Hunger Of The Undead" and overall, the drumming by Gene Hoglan are killer!), grinding vocals by Don Doty. Love it!
