DEAD/ RE-RELEASE WIT 3 BONUS TRACKS"Engineering The Dead (Re-Release)" on CD by Aborted, released via Listenable Records, is a brutal death metal landmark re-presented in refreshed form for a new generation of extreme music fans. This re-release brings back one of the band's early, defining statements: hyper-technical riffs, relentless blast beats and a morbid, surgical atmosphere that laid the groundwork for Aborted's later ascent in the international extreme metal scene. Tracks are tightly written, balancing precise musicianship with raw aggression, making this CD an essential piece for listeners who appreciate both brutality and detail in their death metal. The sonic character is steeped in early-2000s extremity: dense guitar work, guttural vocals and a dark, clinical mood that still feels intense and relevant today.
Aborted, formed in Belgium in the late 1990s, quickly evolved from an underground act into one of Europe's most recognized brutal death metal and deathgrind bands. Known for their technical proficiency, high-speed drumming and horror-inspired lyrical themes, they have built a strong international following through constant touring and a long series of acclaimed extreme metal releases. Over the years, Aborted have played numerous major metal festivals and shared the stage with many of the genre's leading bands, securing their reputation as a reliable force for uncompromising, high-energy live performances. "Engineering The Dead" belongs to the formative phase of their discography and is often viewed as a key release for fans who want to trace the band's evolution from raw brutality to ever more refined, yet still devastating, songwriting.
