Vayo is a three times Grammy Nominee; 2007 & 2010 Latin Grammys for 'Best Tango Album', and 2011 Grammy for 'Best Contemporary World Music Album'. 'Tangos y Milongas del Corazon' is a genre pioneer. The Tango of today is liberated from it's own limitations of the past and transforms itself organically, departing from it's roots and not necessarily seeking fusion with other genres. Milongas and Valses are incorporated within the same theme as plane variations that add expressive force. The airs of 'habaneras' and 'candombes' evoke new moods. The lyric cuts present recitatives and instrumental conversations with contrapuntal arrangements linked with the theme. The urban 'milonga' maintains it's character while adopting the tempo of the 'milonga criolla'. These variances and combinations alleviate the weight of repetition and open doors for the new music that is born from the surprising and inevitable encounter with life.
