This version of Cardinal comes as a 1xCD. - Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this Indie Pop classic. Ushering in an era of appreciation for the orchestrated pop music the 1960s, with a modern approach, Cardinal's debut opus, originally released in 1994, seemed to come out of nowhere with it's layered textures and delightful melodies, swimming against the tidal wave of grunge. The record would achieve deafening acclaim, and impact other artists even to this day. But as influential and significant as Cardinal seemed, their musical output totaled that lone, brilliant self-titled record, as Eric Matthews moved home to the West Coast while Richard Davies remained out East.. The CD contains a selection of bonus material including early demos and extra material from Cardinal. |
