6 extra track on [url=http://www.discogs.com/Cure-Kiss-Me-Kiss-Me-Kiss-Me/relea"Join The Dots (New Version)" on CD is an extensive compilation by The Cure that delves deep into the band's lesser-known material, offering a treasure trove for fans who want to go beyond the classic albums and singles. Instead of repeating the greatest hits, this release focuses on rare tracks, B-sides and special versions that document how The Cure's sound evolved from atmospheric post-punk and dark wave to lush, melodic alternative rock. Across the many songs, you encounter the full emotional spectrum the band is known for: brooding, gothic soundscapes, shimmering pop moments, introspective ballads and more experimental, expansive pieces. The sequencing of the tracks is designed to feel like an alternative history of the band, showing how ideas that were sometimes hidden on the flipside of singles are just as strong and inventive as the best-known album cuts. For collectors, the CD format offers a coherent listening journey with carefully curated tracks and detailed booklet notes (where included), making this edition ideal for deep listening sessions rather than casual background music. The Cure are one of the most influential alternative bands to emerge from the late 1970s and 1980s, known for their distinctive mix of melancholic atmosphere, shimmering guitar textures and instantly recognizable vocals. Across their career they have released a string of widely acclaimed albums and iconic singles that shaped post-punk, gothic rock and alternative pop, making them a key influence for multiple generations of bands. Their catalogue ranges from dark, introspective epics to radiant, hook-laden songs that found international chart success and established them as a staple on stages and festivals worldwide. With a loyal global fan base and a reputation as a powerful live act, The Cure have long since moved from cult status to a central place in modern rock history. The manufacturer Polydor is one of the most established labels in the international music industry, with a long tradition of signing and developing important artists across rock, pop and other genres. As part of a major label structure, Polydor provides professional production standards, careful catalog management and broad distribution, which helps landmark releases and special editions like this one to stay available and well presented. Over the decades, the label has played a decisive role in preserving classic recordings and presenting them in high-quality formats for new generations of listeners, often with attention to detail in artwork, mastering and packaging that collectors particularly appreciate. | | | Producer: |
