Description:2014 2LP reissue pressing on translucent red vinyl. The power pop superstars who influenced the future of rock in the 1970s, reunited in 1993 for a smash concert tour. That reunion tour closed out in Memphis in 1994. Original band members Alex Chilton and Jody Stephens were completely in tune with each other, their new backing band and the audience for this electrifying show. Chilton has since passed, but the music lives on in this double vinyl pressing of that incredible show. Songs include "In the Street," "Don't Lie to Me," "When My Baby's Beside Me," "Back of a Car," "Thank You, Friends" and more.
Recorded live Saturday, October 29, 1994 at the New Daisy Theatre, Memphis, TN. First pressing of 1,000 copies. Includes download card. Producer's Note: The audio for "In The Street" sounds different because it was drawn from camera microphones only before the soundboard feed was engaged. It is included for historical completeness. Also, usual live recording anomalies are present, like occasional feedback or distortion. We've done our best to marginalize these issues and hope you enjoy the show.
