The pop album is available in the following configurations:
- CD
- CD, Remastered

Reissue of the original 1998 CD with an extra track (Nightblindness). The original 1998 release has only 9 tracks but there was a hidden track on that CD called "I Can't Through To Myself" before track 1. There is another reissue on IHT Records with 11 tracks on it and with the same catalog# which came out in 1999.
"White Ladder" on CD is the breakthrough studio album by singer-songwriter David Gray, a milestone of introspective, emotionally rich songwriting blended with subtle electronic textures and acoustic warmth. Across its tracks, the album weaves intimate stories of love, loss, hope and renewal, carried by Gray's distinctive, slightly raspy voice and poetic lyrics. The production is understated yet detailed, allowing gentle beats, shimmering guitars and atmospheric keyboards to support the songs without overshadowing their core emotion. "White Ladder" is often associated with late-night listening: it invites the listener into a reflective mood, with melodies that unfold slowly and stay in the mind long after the music has stopped. This CD edition is ideal for anyone who appreciates sophisticated, melodic singer-songwriter pop with depth and timeless appeal.
David Gray has built a reputation as one of the defining British singer-songwriters of his generation. Known for his heartfelt performances and meticulous songwriting, he bridges the gap between folk, pop and subtle electronic influences. With "White Ladder," he reached a wide international audience and established many of the songs that fans regard as modern classics in his catalogue. His work is characterised by emotional honesty, strong melodic hooks and a distinctive vocal style that makes his music immediately recognisable. Over the years, Gray has developed a loyal fanbase and a respected position in contemporary music through consistent touring and a discography marked by quality and sincerity.
