"Circus" is a CD release by the British progressive rock band Argent, reissued by the specialist label Talking Elephant. Originally emerging in the early 1970s, this album captures Argent at a mature, adventurous stage of their career, blending intricate song structures with melodic hooks and a flair for experimentation. Listeners can expect a rich mix of progressive rock elements, thoughtful arrangements, expressive vocals and dynamic interplay between keyboards and guitars. The recording stands out for its atmospheric songwriting, extended instrumental passages and a sophisticated yet accessible sound that will appeal to both long-time prog fans and newcomers exploring classic rock beyond the mainstream hits.

Argent, founded by keyboardist and singer Rod Argent after his tenure with The Zombies, earned recognition in the 1970s with hits such as "Hold Your Head Up" and "God Gave Rock and Roll to You" and became an influential name in British rock. The band is known for combining memorable melodies with virtuoso musicianship, and "Circus" is often appreciated by connoisseurs for its ambitious scope and musical craftsmanship. This CD edition invites listeners to rediscover a key chapter in the evolution of the band, highlighting their progressive side and their ability to create immersive, conceptually coherent albums.

The CD format offers the album in a convenient, durable physical edition, appealing to collectors who value sound quality, liner notes and the tactile experience of owning a classic record on disc. For fans of progressive rock, classic rock and 1970s album-oriented music, this release is a chance to complete or expand their collection with a thoughtfully produced reissue.
