Even though I consider "Operation: Mindcrime" to be Queensryche's best album (and is also my favorite album by the band), but it was "Empire" that introduced these Seattle progressive rock/metal geniuses to the world. It contains everything that everyone loves about these guys from brilliant and intelligent lyrics and songwriting to incredible musicianship, and the songs range from beautiful ballads, to strong melodic rockers, and classic heavy fist pumpers, believe me, it's all on here.
