- RUDY VAN GELDER SERIES
This is part of a new series of Blue Note jazz masterpieces newly remastered using 24-bit technology by legendary engineer Rudy Van Gelder. One of the best known dates in the history of jazz, the chemistry among Adderley, Miles Davis, Hank Jones, Sam Jones and Art Blakey is amazing. Their radical reworkings of "Autumn Leaves" and "Love for Sale" are masterpieces. Miles' title tune and Nat Adderley's "One for Daddy-O" are classics. Includes 1 bonus track and extra photos.

Somethin' Else is an album by American jazz saxophonist Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, recorded on March 9, 1958. The Penguin Guide to Jazz selected Somethin' Else as part of its suggested "Core Collection."

This is definitely an album that should be on the list of top ten jazz albums of all time. This Rudy Van Gelder edition is pretty good. If you don't own this, get it now!

People usually call this album as Kind of Blue part 2, it's obvious to see why. Not only did Miles Davis play on this album, but he also contributed the composition of one song and chose most of the material. The result is that this album has the similar vibe to Kind of Blue. An essential Jazz album.
