Description:Collection of tracks from 2001, the final recordings by Mickey Finn, who put together a 'new' version of T. Rex in 1997, initially to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Marc Bolan's untimely death. Half of the classic T. Rex duo, Mickey had joined during the Tyrannosaurus Rex-era and brought an early Rock 'N' Roll approach to the sound. Finn died in 2003, leaving only drummer Bill Legend as the only surviving member of the original quartet. A reformed version of T. Rex, featuring old and new members, continues to play all over Europe. Musicians for this session of classic T. Rex songs were Mickey Finn, Paul Fenton, Alan Silson, Rob Benson, Dave Major, Tony Allday and Graham Oliver. Angel Air. 2008.
During the autumn of 1997 MICKEY FINN and Paul Fenton reunited to play as T-REX and all tracks on this CD were recorded during 1999 before Mickey's untimely death except tracks 14 & 15 which where recorded by the current line up of the band. www.t-rex.co.uk
"Classic Hits" on CD brings together some of the most iconic tracks by T. Rex, capturing the distinctive blend of glam rock, catchy riffs and Marc Bolan's instantly recognizable vocals. This compilation focuses on the band's most memorable and accessible songs, making it an ideal introduction for new listeners and a nostalgic journey for long-time fans. The carefully remastered tracks highlight the characteristic mix of driving grooves, melodic guitar lines and playful, sometimes mystical lyrics that helped define T. Rex's sound. Whether played from start to finish or dipped into for individual favorites, this CD delivers a concentrated dose of the energy and style that made T. Rex a cornerstone of early 1970s rock.

T. Rex, led by frontman and songwriter Marc Bolan, were one of the key pioneers of glam rock and a dominant force in the UK charts in the early 1970s. With their fusion of rock 'n' roll, boogie rhythms and pop sensibility, they left a lasting mark on popular music and inspired countless later artists. Among their biggest achievements were multiple top-ten singles and a series of albums that helped shape the glam movement, turning the band into a cultural phenomenon of their era. Their songs are still celebrated today for their hooks, swagger and unique atmosphere.
