"Popestar" is a CD EP by the Swedish band Ghost, showcasing their unique blend of heavy rock, melodic hooks and darkly playful aesthetics. Centered around the successful album era of "Meliora", this release captures Ghost at a creative peak, combining sinister atmospheres with accessible, almost pop-like songwriting. The EP features a powerful original track that continues the band's occult-themed narrative world, surrounded by carefully selected cover versions that reveal Ghost's broad range of influences - from classic rock to more contemporary sounds - all reinterpreted in their unmistakable sonic signature of soaring vocals, thick guitar layers and cathedral-like ambience. For fans, "Popestar" is an essential addition that bridges the gap between full-length albums and documents the band's evolution toward a more refined, yet still theatrical style.

Ghost, founded in Sweden in the late 2000s, have become one of the most distinctive acts in modern rock and metal, known for their masked and costumed stage personas and a strong visual concept built around anti-clerical and occult imagery. Musically, they combine elements of classic heavy metal, hard rock, doom and pop with strong melodies and choral arrangements. The band gained international recognition with albums such as "Opus Eponymous", "Infestissumam", "Meliora" and "Prequelle", and has received major awards including a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for the song "Cirice". Their extensive touring and striking live shows have cemented Ghost's reputation as a leading force in contemporary heavy music, able to appeal to both traditional metal fans and a broader rock audience.

The manufacturer LMVT positions this CD with an emphasis on solid sound quality and a presentation that respects the distinct aesthetic world of Ghost. While no extensive brand history is publicly tied to LMVT, their role as manufacturer here is to deliver a reliable, well-produced physical edition of "Popestar", ensuring that collectors and fans receive a durable and attractive CD version that fits seamlessly into any Ghost discography.

Vagner C. - 16/Feb/2018 1 of 5 Stars!
Ghost arosed as a phenomenon of heavy metal, with his 70-80's atmosphere, combining rock and metal. However, each record shiwed more and more pop elementos, culminating (???) in THIS Record. Sad to ser a good band lost whats made It known. I hope Ghost come back to do old vibe rock metal as their first excellent album.
