Description:Prog Temple present a reissue of Glencoe's self-titled debut album, originally released in 1972. Formed in 1972, this funky British prog band featured John Turnbull (guitar, vocals), Graham Maitland (keyboards, vocals), Norman Watt-Roy (bass, vocals) and Stewart Francis (drums, vocals). Between them they played in Skip Bifferty, Greatest Show On Earth, Forever More and several other well-regarded acts. Their pedigree shines through on this classic debut. Originally issued in December 1972, it makes it's long-overdue return to CD here. Includes background notes and images.
Packaged in a jewel case with clear tray and 8-page booklet.
"Glencoe" is a CD release by the artist Glencoe, presented by the manufacturer PGTE. This audio production focuses entirely on the musical identity of Glencoe, offering listeners a coherent and immersive listening experience. The album is designed as a complete work: carefully sequenced tracks, a clear artistic vision, and a sound that invites repeated listens rather than just isolated tracks. Stylistically, "Glencoe" can be seen as a focused artist album rather than a mixed compilation, allowing the musical personality and compositional approach of Glencoe to stand at the center.

Glencoe, as an artist, stands for a clear, self-contained sound aesthetic, in which melody and atmosphere play a key role. The tracks are built to develop a narrative arc over the course of the CD, drawing the listener into a sound world that is both accessible and multi-layered. Whether through more energetic pieces or quieter, reflective passages, the album maintains a sense of continuity that makes "Glencoe" suitable both for concentrated listening and as a musical backdrop with depth. The production puts emphasis on clarity and balance, so that each musical detail can be appreciated.

PGTE, as the manufacturer, is known for putting care into physical audio releases. With a focus on solid production standards and a reliable manufacturing process, PGTE ensures that the CD edition of "Glencoe" offers long-lasting sound quality and a well-finished physical product. From the pressing of the disc to the printing of the cover and booklet, the goal is to present the music in a form that collectors and fans of physical media can appreciate. This attention to the physical format underlines the idea of "Glencoe" as a complete package, not just a set of digital files.

As a result, "Glencoe" on CD is aimed at listeners who value an artistically coherent album experience and who appreciate the haptic and acoustic advantages of the Compact Disc format. The collaboration between the artist Glencoe and the manufacturer PGTE results in a release that focuses on musical substance and durable quality. Without relying on spectacle, the album invites discovery through its thoughtful structure, its cohesive sound image, and the careful realization in the CD medium.
