This version of Wilson Phillips comes as a 2xCD. - Consisting of Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson, and Chynna Phillips, the daughters, of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas, Wilson Phillips is an acclaimed American vocal group. Their 1990 self-titled debut album sold over 10 million copies worldwide and placed three number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, making the trio the best-selling female group at the time. This 2-CD set in conjunction with the trio boasts a unreleased version of the hit Hold On as well as a second disc of rare versions and B-sides, all re-mastered by Andy Pearce from original tapes. The booklet features a new interview by the Guardian's Paul Lester about the making of the album as well as rare memorabilia.Track 2-12 is mislabeled as "(Live in Japan 1991)."
Track 2-14 is mislabeled as "A Conversation With Wilson Phillips And Producer Glen Ballard," i.e., the interview that appeared on the "Release Me" single. It is actually "Morning Tea in Tokyo: A Conversation with Wilson Phillips," i.e., that which appeared on the "You're in Love" single and "Greatest Hits" compilation.
