Le label Island Records fut fondé en 1959 par Chris Blackwell ; il s?est illustré par son esprit pionnier et son catalogue éclectique comprenant notamment Bob Marley & The Wailers ou encore U2 parmi ses artistes phares ayant marqué l?histoire musicale internationale.
