Originally issued in 1978, this record stands as a unique blend of experimental music, minimalism, and chamber pop with subtle jazz influences. ZNR'comprised of Hector Zazou and Joseph Racaille'crafted soundscapes that defy easy categorization but have influenced generations of adventurous musicians since. ZNR was formed in France during the mid-1970s, bringing together composer/producer Hector Zazou (who later worked with artists like Björk) and multi-instrumentalist Joseph Racaille. Together they created two albums that became milestones in European avant-garde music: "Barricade 3" (1976) and "Traite De Mecanique Populaire." Their work is celebrated for its originality, blending classical sensibilities with modern experimentation.
