"Close But No Cigar" is the debut album by the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, released in CD format by Colemine Records / Cargo. This record delivers a vibrant blend of soul-jazz, funk, and rhythm & blues, driven by Delvon Lamarr's expressive Hammond B-3 organ work. The trio'rounded out by guitarist Jimmy James and drummer David McGraw'crafts infectious grooves that recall classic 1960s and '70s instrumental sounds while injecting fresh energy into every track. Standout songs like "Concussion," "Al Greenery," and the title track showcase their tight musicianship and improvisational flair. The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio was formed in Seattle in 2015 and quickly gained recognition for their electrifying live performances.
