| Description: | Laurent Medelgi is a fine young guitarist who mixes the bebop of Kenny Burrell with the filigree of Pat Metheny. Hailing from Paris, Laurent picked up the guitar at age 12, and has travelled a diverse path during his career, playing classical, new wave, rock, jazz/funk, and then finally on to jazz. This album was recorded live at 55 Bar and features Laurent in a trio configuration with bassist Steve LaSpina (Jim Hall, Pat Metheny) and drummer Bob Meyers (Joe Lovano, John Abercrombie), two of today's finest jazz accompanists.Recorded at Bar 55, New York on November 12th 2000.
