Vinyl LP pressing. 2020 release. Los Angeles-based outfit Oozelles (pronounced: oo-ZELZ), who made their debut last year with a seven inch on Third Man Records, are back with their first full length album. The group features members and ex-members of Warpaint, Starlite Desperation, Dante Vs Zombies, Sex Stains, Detroit Cobras, and many others. They describe their unique, eclectic, weirdo punk sound as "a stickier, sub-tropical Birthday Party, Contortions or CAN ghost writing for The Gun Club or The Flesh Eaters." The self-titled album was produced by frontman Dante White Aliano.
"Oozelles" is an LP that captures the raw, exploratory spirit of the band Oozelles, released by the independent label Org Music. Across the album, the group fuses elements of rock, punk, and experimental sounds into a tense, atmospheric listening experience. Angular rhythms, gritty guitar textures, and expressive vocals create a sense of urgency, while more spacious passages give the music room to breathe. The result is a record that feels both abrasive and hypnotic, ideal for listeners who appreciate adventurous, genre-defying rock on vinyl. The LP format underscores the album's organic character: the sequencing, flow from side A to side B, and the tactile feel of the record all enhance immersion in Oozelles' sonic universe.
Org Music is known as a quality-driven independent label with a strong focus on carefully curated releases and well-mastered vinyl editions. The company has built a reputation among collectors and music lovers for treating both catalog and contemporary titles with respect--prioritizing solid pressings, good sound, and thoughtful artwork. With "Oozelles," Org Music once again demonstrates its commitment to distinctive, artist-forward projects that stand out from mainstream trends.
Oozelles is a band that thrives on intensity, contrast, and mood. Rather than relying on radio-friendly formulas, they draw from underground rock traditions and experimental approaches, building songs that can be brooding and atmospheric one moment, then sharp and explosive the next. Their work has attracted attention from listeners looking for something darker, more intricate, and less predictable than standard rock fare, positioning Oozelles as a compelling name within the contemporary alternative and experimental rock landscape.
