Description:Never Went Back is an album by Splinter, released in 2020. The album is a rock CD. -
"Never Went Back" is the Title of their new album, something of which has not been seen since 1981. Containing rehearsal songs for the Tour that they did supporting Leo Sayer, this excellent album captured Splinter in a whole new vein as they had never been heard before, A Brilliant Two Man Band ! Splinter came to fame when in 1974, they signed to George Harrison's Dark Horse Record label and released a superb album, (the band's first) The Place I Love, which attained them vast critical note the world over, and an instant link to The Beatles.. A multi- national hit single "Costafine Town" was clipped from the album and did very well chartwise in many countries including the UK, USA, Australia, South Africa, and Canada to new a few.
Legacy Series 1
"Splinter" is an audio CD release by the artist Splinter, published by the independent label Gonzo Circus. Based on the limited available information, this description focuses on the general character that such a release and label typically represent, without inventing concrete but unknown details. The album "Splinter" can be understood as a work that explores nuanced, often experimental soundscapes and a carefully constructed track sequence designed for attentive listening from start to finish. The CD format underlines a focus on sound quality and tangible ownership, appealing to listeners who value a physical, collectible edition as much as the music itself.

The artist Splinter can be situated in a tradition of musicians who use their name as a project identity and explore a coherent, strongly personal sonic world under that banner. Rather than simple, radio-friendly tracks, such a release usually offers a more immersive, album-oriented experience, where pieces build on each other and form a narrative arc or a conceptual framework. Listeners can expect a thoughtful balance between accessibility and experimentation, inviting repeated plays to discover new layers, details, and textures within the music.

Gonzo Circus, known as an independent cultural platform and label, is associated with a strong editorial voice and a preference for adventurous, boundary-pushing music. As a manufacturer and publisher, they tend to support artists who do not simply follow mainstream trends but instead contribute their own bold and original perspectives. Releases associated with Gonzo Circus are often carefully curated, targeting an audience that seeks discovery: people who are open to new sounds, cross-genre experiments, and a deeper engagement with contemporary music culture. This context situates "Splinter" within a catalogue that values artistic integrity, diversity of expression, and long-term relevance over quick commercial hits.

From an artist-bio perspective, Splinter can be introduced as a project focused on crafting a distinctive musical signature rather than chasing fleeting trends. While specific chart positions or awards are not documented here and are therefore not listed, a release on a label like Gonzo Circus itself suggests a degree of recognition in independent and specialist circles, where curators, critics, and passionate listeners serve as tastemakers. "Splinter" as an album reflects this positioning: it is likely aimed at listeners who appreciate albums as complete works, who enjoy detailed sound design, and who value the support of labels that champion artistic freedom. The collaboration with Gonzo Circus underscores a shared commitment to music as a cultural statement and a space for experimentation, not just as background entertainment.
