Das Konzeptalbum folgt der Figur Jamie, die erstmals auf der Why Did You Do It? EP vorgestellt wurde, durch die
Lemon House High und die verschiedenen Menschen, mit denen sie zu tun hat. Vom ersten Schultag über die
romantische Beziehung zu Casey bis hin zu den Turbulenzen, die ein amerikanischer Teenager mit sich bringt,
erzählen die elf Tracks des Albums eine einzigartige, emotional turbulente Geschichte in der Welt, die Kaonashi
geschaffen hat.
Die 2012 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, gegründete Band Kaonashi machte sich im Oktober 2013 mit der
Veröffentlichung ihrer EP Native einen Namen in der Szene. Mit Einflüssen von Hardcore- und Progressive-Acts wie
Coheed & Cambria, The Dillinger Escape Plan und The Contortionist haben Kaonashi einen technischen, aggressiven
Sound entwickelt, den sie ihr Eigen nennen. Mit persönlichen Texten, die sich mit den Schwierigkeiten von
Depressionen und Angstzuständen dieser Generation auseinandersetzen, veröffentlichten sie 2016 ihre zweite EP Ex
Prayers sowie eine Split mit Sabella mit dem Titel Never Home. - .. RUINED ME: SENIOR YEAR"Dear Lemon House, You Ruined Me: Senior Year" is the debut Studio Album released by Emo Mathcore band Kaonashii "Dear Lemon House, You Ruined Me: Senior Year" on CD by Kaonashi is an intense and concept-driven post-hardcore/metalcore release that pushes emotional storytelling to the forefront. Across its tracks, the band blends chaotic, technically sophisticated riffs with melodic passages and spoken-word-like vocal parts to create the feeling of a collapsing senior year in high school. Angular guitar work, shifting rhythms and a wide vocal range - from whispers to piercing screams - mirror the inner turmoil of the characters and give the album a cinematic narrative arc rather than just a loose collection of songs.
