â??Luâ??s Jukeboxâ?? ist eine sechsteilige Serie von Band-Auftritten, die live im Room & Board Studio von Ray Kennedy in Nashville, TN, aufgenommen wurden. Jeder Teil enthält eine Reihe thematischer Songs anderer Künstler, die von der Multi-Grammy-Preisträgerin Lucinda Williams ausgewählt wurden. Die Serie wurde Ende 2020 als Ticket-Show über Mandolin ausgestrahlt.
Ein Teil des Ticketverkaufs kam unabhängigen Musikveranstaltungsorten zugute, die Schwierigkeiten hatten, durch die Pandemie zu kommen. Wie Tausende von Künstlern entwickelte sie ihr Handwerk, indem sie in kleinen, mittleren und gro�en Clubs im ganzen Land und auf der ganzen Welt spielte. Diese Venues sind für die Entwicklung der Künstler und ihrer Musik von entscheidender Bedeutung. Williams hat ihre Wurzeln nie vergessen und führt oft Sonder-Shows in einigen ihrer Lieblings-Säle auf.
In diesem Jahr wird die Jukebox-Serie von Lu auf Vinyl und CD veröffentlicht. Nachdem Vol.2 â??Southern Soul: From Memphis To Muscle Shoalsâ?? 11 eigene Versionen von verschiedenen Southern-Soul-Klassikern enthielt, präsentiert sie jetzt auf Vol.4 â??Funny How Time Slips Away: A Night of 60's Country Classicsâ?? 13 eigene Versionen von verschiedenen 60â??s Country-Klassikern. - .. AWAY: LU'S JUKEBOX VOL. 4Revered singer/songwriter Lucinda Williams is working to help independent music venues during this time with the announcement of Lu's Jukebox. Scheduled as a six-episode series of mostly full-band, HD video performances in-studio, Lu's Jukebox will feature a themed set of songs by other artists curated by the multi-Grammy award winner. Largely full-band performances recorded live at Ray Kennedy's Room & Board Studio in Nashville, TN, Lucinda has poured her heart and soul into each of these episodes. From hand-selecting the songs to giving it her all in the studio, this series has been a journey you won't want to miss.
