Although the band barely received any credit during their career, Suicide are cited as one of the most inspirational bands of the 1970s, influencing the likes Soft Cell, Depeche Mode and The Jesus And Mary Chain, whilst garnering fans in Nick Cave, Jim Thirlwell, M.I.A., Spiritualized, Lydia Lunch, Bobby Gillespie and Savages to name a few. The tracklisting, collated by Marty Rev, Vega's partner, Liz Lamere, and Rollins, includes tracks from their classic debut album, Suicide (1977), to their final outing, American Supreme (2002).
Made in Austria Embossed gatefold digisleeve with enclosed 12-page booklet. Transparent hype sticker reads: " Includes fifteen tracks across Suicide's studio discography including previously unreleased and rare recording of "Frankie Teardrop" " Tracks 1 to 3, 6 to 8, 10 to 14 published by Revega Publishing Company / Saturn Strip, Ltd. Tracks 4, 5, 8, 15 published by Warner/Chappell North America Ltd. / Revega Publishing Company / Saturn Strip, Ltd. Although not noted as such, "Why Be Blue?" is the 2005 remix and not the original album version.
