Description:Shango's Dance is a performance group composed of Cuban singers, percussionists and members of the Amsterdam-based Eurojazz group Lotz of Music, led by flautist Mark Lotz. This CD was recorded in Havana and Amsterdam and could be called Santaria roots music (from the Yoruba and Arara people of Africa as brought to Cuba) meets Eurojazz with some Indian ragas thrown in. The ambiance is heavy with percussion of all types and group vocals with a lot of jazz and playfulness. This CD is being released in Europe by the Dutch label, LopLop, and in North America by Random Chance.
