T-Bone Walker is the source of single-note, horn-type blues soloing. In addition, his phrasing was so expressive of the blues sensibility that it has come to define the style of every electric blues and rock guitarist who has followed in his dancing footsteps. This edition includes one of Walkers finest albums, the sensational T-Bone Blues, originally released by Atlantic Records in 1960. For these recordings Atlantic took some chances with Walker, dispatching him to Chicago for a 1955 date with Junior Wells and Jimmy Rogers which resulted in the great Play on Little Girl.
