This version of Sun 1972 comes as a 2xCD. - The sole album by Sydney-based jazz rock band SUN, Sun 1972, is a feast for the ears. Onremastered CD reissue, for the first time since the original album issue in October 1972, you canhear the clarity and excitement of this previously lost gem. The musicianship is excellent, the songsare engaging and the icing on the cake comes with Ren e Geyer's gorgeous vocals.Ren e was 18 years old when the band recorded the album, and it's immediately obvious that shealready possessed a distinctive and powerful voice at such an early stage of her career. She had yetto assert herself fully as a stage performer - she's stated that she often felt paranoid and nervousgoing on stage - but we can overlook that for now.
