This is the tenth studio album by the pianist/arranger/composer and without any doubt "The right Touch" (1967) is one of his best. Duke Pearson writes for an all-star octet (with Freddie Hubbard, James Spaulding and Stanley Turrentine to name just a few). The original Duke Pearson compositions are full of colour and at the same time quite challenging. Next to "Wahoo", this cd is a must have. Highly recommended.
