Melbourne-based musician alex hamilton's fireside feast of heart-warming songs and stories in "trouble in paradise" is out .
The first single from the 9-track lp is "beneath the light of the moon", dives deep into thoughts, friendships, relationships and love.
As alex describes: 'beneath the light of the moon' is about regret. That certain regret and tiredness that comes from making the same mistakes again and again. It's about coming down from the high, waking up lost in a hangover you knew was coming but perhaps had foolishly hoped wouldn't find you.
"it's about the moment george jones looked in that mirror on the dirty old restroom wall and realised that he'd aged twenty years in five. But it's also about forgiveness and accepting that we are who we are and that changing never has been and never will be easy," alex said. -
