 | | Description: | Three years ago I dug up the original tapes for Maybe We're Making God Sad and Lonely and had them remixed/remastered as we had zero budget for mixing when the album was originally recorded. We decided to release this new version as MAY YOU DIE WELL which was the original title. It was changed to MWMGSAL after hiring artist William Schaff to produce a cover for us. He titled his artwork MWMGSAL and we thought that was a better title so we went with it. For this new version though we've commissioned new artwork by Chloe Manon and are using the original title. The mixing by Nick Bassett really makes these old tunes come to life and it's amazing to finally hear this album the way it always should've been heard.Smoke/black swirl vinyl"May You Die Well" is an atmospheric LP by Dreamend, released by the independent label Graveface. The album unfolds like a cinematic journey, blending wistful melodies, textured guitar layers and subtle experimental elements into a dense, emotional soundscape. Warm analog sounds, delicate noise, and hypnotic rhythms create a melancholic yet hopeful mood that invites deep listening from beginning to end. Each track feels carefully crafted, with dynamic builds, intimate quieter passages and a strong narrative flow that rewards listening to the whole record rather than just individual songs. On vinyl, "May You Die Well" reveals a rich sonic depth, making it an ideal record for collectors who appreciate detailed arrangements and a slightly dark, dreamlike atmosphere.
Dreamend is a project known for its introspective, often haunting sound, moving between post-rock, indie and experimental dream-pop. The music focuses less on showy virtuosity and more on mood, texture and emotional resonance. Over the years, Dreamend has earned a dedicated following in the independent scene, particularly among listeners who value conceptually coherent albums and immersive sound worlds. With releases that often feel like self-contained stories, the project has stood out for its consistent aesthetic and its ability to balance noise, melody and cinematic tension.
Graveface, the manufacturer and label behind this LP, is a respected independent imprint with a clear passion for unusual, artist-driven music. Known for carefully curated releases, often with distinctive artwork and a strong sense of identity, Graveface has built a reputation as a home for artists who sit slightly outside the mainstream. The label places great emphasis on physical formats such as vinyl and on creating records that are collectible objects as well as musical works. With "May You Die Well," Graveface once again underlines its commitment to atmospheric, innovative releases that resonate with discerning listeners and vinyl enthusiasts alike. | | | No. of tracks: |
