Description:Cosmos by Murcof, released 20 September 2007, includes the following tracks: "Cosmos I", "Cosmos II" and more. This version of Cosmos comes as a 1xCD. -
Fernando Corona's long-awaited third album as Murcof marks a dramatic departure from previous works. Truly monumental in scale, COSMOS is composed almost entirely of recordings of classical instruments, which Corona describes as "Expanding the possibilities of acoustic instruments through electronics". It's a move away from the micro-programmed sound he helped pioneer, and his seamless integration of these apparently opposed forms is almost unprecedented.
Released in a 6-panel Digipak with clear tray. Some copies with sticker on front: "Murcof | Cosmos / 'Understated majesty. Limitless beauty and creative genius' 4,5/5 DJ / 'Mindblowing like Sunn o))) playing Ligeti in a galaxy far far away. Sublime.' 4/5 Uncut / 'Meditative, monumental grandeur' Sunday Times / 'Supremely dark and cinematic' Metal Hamer / 'A remarkable work which defies classification and challenges the mind.' themilkfactory.co.uk / Maximum volume yield maximum results" Mastering at Plasma, Spain.
